1-2     Carter, Jane,Buzz, and Venessa are on vacation on a boat with their Uncle Dex, trying to get to know each other because their parents got married. Part way into the trip it was going good when a storm hits and they're wondering if they hit rocks because water is flooding in.

3-4    Everyone is worried including Uncle Dex and his friend Joe. Dex and Joe decide to blow up the life raft and get off the boat. While they are in the process of doing that they both fall off the ship and disappear. Now the kids are all alone. Buzz is trying to steer the ship, Carter and Vanessa are trying not to fall off the ship, and Jane is no where to be found.

 

5-6   When Carter awakes, he doesn't know where he is. Then he remembers, he is on a boat, but where. Eventually they all are awake and find out their on an island. There are beautiful palm trees every where on the beach. The kids find the satilite phone and call thier parents. Thier parents are at the coast gaurd and let the kids talk to the coast gaurd.

 

7-8  The kids are trying to find Dex and Joe. But they realize they will never see them again. Also they find a peak and go up there while looking for Dex and Joe.

 

10-11  Venessa has a familly meeting. She assigns Carter and Jane to try to go find water while her and Buzz stay there and try to fix the solar panel.The solar panel could charge the satellite phone. Carter and Jane are successful and find water.

 

17-18   Vanessa and Buzz are worried because Carter and Jane have been gone for 2 days, because they got stuck at the lagoon while trying to get water. Vanessa and Buzz are at the boat and hear noises coming from a cave. A few seconds later Carter and Jane come out of the cave and explain why they were in the cave and why they were gone so long. That night the tide rises and takes the boat to sea, but they all get off safely. The story continues in the next book.

 

 

 

 

Wild Life Sumary

1-Erik got home from his hunting lessons and he passed. Then his parents told him they have to go to the army. Also he has to go to his grandparent's house in North Dakota. He was mad because his parents told him he wasn't allowed to hunt.

 2,3,4,5- Even though Erik is mad and frustrated, he has to get every thing squared up before he leaves. Erik flew to North Dakota. His grandparents met him at the airport and drove him to their house. It took them a long time to get to their house because they live far into the country. Big Darell and Oma tell his room will be his mom's old room.

6,7,8,9-In the morning Erik is notified that Big Darell went to a beet harvest and that Oma is going to help set up for the fall festival. When Oma leaves Erik doesn't know what to do so he explores the house. Then he remembers the night before when both Big Darell and Oma told him to stay out of a room. Then he went to investagate it. He found out it was his uncle's room. He remembered his mom telling him about Dan and that he is now dead. After that he goes outside to look at all the farming equipment in the yard. While he is out there a dog comes and Erik notices the dog has a face full of quills. Erik calls Oma and Oma calls a vet. Oma and the vet get there very fast. The vet succesfully gets out all the quills. That night when Big Darell got home he is suprised that there is a dog in the house, when 34 years ago he said no more dogs. He says it has to be out of the house by tomorrow and it sleeps in the barn tonight.

10,11,12,13,14,15,16- The next day the vet called and said he wiil be there to pick up the dog. Erik really wants the dog and decides to run away. Erik gets boots, a shotgun, clothing, and a sleeping bag with a mess kit. Erik decides to run into the woods next to the house. Erik was suprised when th dog went into point and birds started to come out of the brush. One of those days Erik shot 2 birds and a rabbit.

17,18,19,20,21-One morning Erik woke up and it was snowing. He packed up every thing and started to look for shelter. By the time Erik found shelter it was night. While cooking the bird he shot that day a man found him. Erik got away and went back to his 

grandparents house. Oma and Big Darell were both happy that Erik had come back. The next day the owner of the dog came to pick it up. Erik was so sad.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stranded Trial By Fire

 

 

 

 

 

Jane, Carter, Vanessa, and Buzz were on a boat and crashed. Now they’re trying to cope with the new surroundings and learn to survive together. The kids are on an island. They are trying to survive on the island. All the troubling times motivates the kids to do everything they can do to stay alive. The kids have many run-ins with wild boar. Also they have to build a fire with very little supplies. The kids had to move out of the cave they were living in because there was always wild boar in the cave. Also they couldn't get water from the spring because they have no light. They made a lean to for shelter. They got many supplies from the Lucky Star to help them survive. They made a fire. The lucky star fell off the coal reef so now they can't get anything off the ship. The tree bridge broke so now they can't get to the signal fire. Venessa is watching the fire, she fell asleep and dropped Jane’s journal in the fire. She tries to get it out with a stick but flings it onto the lean to, the lean to catches on fire and burns to ashes, but Buzz, Carter, and Jane get out safely. Vanessa runs off so the others can cool down and not gets mad at her. Vanessa runs to the side of the island they haven't explored yet. She sees something that looks like a ship on the island. She finds out that other people got stranded on the island too. Vanessa finds dead bodies by the boat. Vanessa had to tell the others about what she found. Also she had to say sorry for what she did, burn the journal and the only shelter they had.
